Meet Annette!

Annette Zimmerman has been the Children's Ministry Director since July, 2023. She grew up near Lynnville and Sully with her parents, Mark and Sarah Scholten and younger brothers, Allen and Andrew. She graduated from L-S in 2005 and Simpson College in 2009 which led to a career as a freelance graphic designer and photographer. Annette married Derrick Zimmerman in 2008, and they started a family in 2015. They now have three children, Georgia, Sadie and Jacob. Annette was baptized at First Reformed Church and has been a life-long member, making her profession of faith here as a teenager, volunteering for VBS and serving as a Sunday school teacher. Ever since her children were old enough to attend Children in Worship and Sunday school, she's had a newfound appreciation for the exceptional children's ministries here at FRC. Now she seeks to help the children in our church and community understand the gospel message and grow in their relationships with Jesus Christ.
